About Us

Peterborough Lions FC CIC is a social impact organisation committed to providing positive opportunities for children, young people, families and the wider community.

Based in Roots and Rise Hub Peterborough Queensgate, we believe community is a tool for building confidence, improving wellbeing, developing life skills, creating friendships and giving people a sense of belonging through providing activities.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), We provide inclusive sporting opportunities through Peterborough lions FC, community activities, enrichment programmes, workshops and positive activities designed to support people who may face barriers to participation.

Our Make A Difference (M.AD) programme is at the heart of this work, providing young people with a safe, welcoming and positive environment where they can explore their interests, develop confidence and learn new skills. Activities include football and multi-sports, music, art and wellbeing sessions, workshops and targeted interventions around issues affecting young people and communities.

Through  our Roots & Rise Community Hub, weprovides a safe and supportive space for young people to learn, create, socialise and take part in positive activities. The hub brings together sport, music, education, creativity and wellbeing, helping young people discover their potential in an environment where they feel valued and supported.

We work closely with schools, community organisations, local authorities, housing providers, sports clubs, coaches and other partners to deliver programmes that respond to the needs of our community.

We are proud to support participation across a wide range of groups, including grassroots football, girls' football, mixed football, adult football, walking football and disability football.
